Static IP for Server

Your XProxy server's local IP changes every time your router restarts. Setting a static (reserved) IP ensures your proxy host address never changes.

Step 1 — Access your Router / Modem admin

The admin address and login credentials vary by brand. Common addresses are 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 — check the label on the back of your router.

Step 2 — Find the MAC address of the XProxy server

In the router admin, go to DHCP Client List. Find the device named xproxy. Copy both the MAC address and the current local IP.

Step 3 — Add an Address Reservation

Go to Address Reservation (usually under DHCP settings) and add a new entry. Paste the MAC address and local IP from Step 2. Save and apply.

After saving, your XProxy dashboard and proxies are always reachable at this fixed local IP — even after router restarts.
The exact location of Address Reservation varies by router brand. Search Google for: address reservation [your router brand] if you can't find it.

This static IP is local (LAN only). To access your proxy from outside your network, see NAT Forwarding — Use Proxy from Anywhere.
