Frequently asked questions
Quick answers to what people ask before buying.
Does the price include hardware?
No. Hardware and software are priced separately. Existing hardware owners can use their own; new buyers can purchase from the XProxy shop.
How many proxies per dongle?
Each dongle generates up to 2 IPs (1× IPv4 + 1× IPv6). Business plan adds Shared Ports so you can expose dozens or hundreds of proxy ports per dongle on those same IPs.
Can the proxy change IPs?
Yes, via rotating IP functions. XProxy guarantees the IP after changing will be different from the previous one. Rotate instantly, on a timer, or via an API link per port.
What proxy format is supported?
Standard formats like user:pass@ip:port or ip:port with IP auth. Rotation links are also supported (e.g. http://yourserver.com/reset?proxy=...).
Is the Lifetime license really lifetime?
Yes — pay once, run forever. Includes 1 year of full support and updates. After year 1, continued support costs 30% of the equivalent annual plan price.
How many dongles per system?
No software restriction — depends on your motherboard. The XB22 supports up to 40 dongles; larger servers handle more.
Can one license span multiple servers?
No. Each server needs its own license. You can cancel for a refund and re-purchase per server.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
Anytime. Cancel the current license to refund the balance back to your account, then start a new subscription at the new tier or modem count.
What forwarding methods are available?
NAT/DMZ, PPPoE WAN, Tailscale VPN, OpenVPN, and VPS Forwarding — all available on Premium and Business plans.
What are TCP/OS Fingerprint Spoofing and DNS Faker?
Anti-detection tools on Premium and Business plans. TCP spoofing masks the server OS to look like Windows/macOS/iOS. DNS Faker routes DNS through the SIM's servers. WebRTC leak prevention is also included.
Does XProxy have an AI Assistant?
Yes, built into the dashboard. It understands your system config and helps with setup and troubleshooting. Available on Premium and Business plans.
Why do all proxy ports share the same IP address? Is it a bug?
No, this is completely normal for mobile proxies. The entry IP you configure (e.g. 192.168.1.99) is the backconnect server gateway (the road). Each port routes through a different exit mobile dongle. Websites only see the unique mobile IP at the end of the road, not the gateway server IP. Read our How Mobile Proxy IPs Work guide for a detailed explanation.
Why are mobile proxies much more expensive than datacenter proxies?
Datacenter proxies are virtual server IPs created at near-zero cost. Mobile proxies require real physical infrastructure: 4G/5G modems (dongles), real SIM cards, monthly carrier data plans, industrial USB hubs, and continuous maintenance. You are not paying for the gateway server; you are paying for the authentic, highly trusted mobile carrier network behind it.
