How to Activate My License

Every XProxy server, box, or DIY controller is pre-installed with a lifetime Free Plan (supporting up to 5 devices). To manage your server remotely, receive automated software updates, and unlock premium scale, you can activate your license and link the device to your XProxy Cloud Account using your unique keys.

Linking your physical XProxy hardware to your cloud account takes only a few minutes. Follow these step-by-step instructions to register your license.

Step 1 — Sign In to Your XProxy Cloud Account

Go to xproxy.io and click Account in the top-right corner. Complete the sign-in using your Google account or email credentials to access your centralized Console dashboard.

Step 2 — Retrieve Keys from Your Local XProxy Dashboard

To connect the hardware, you must retrieve its unique keys from the local installation:

  1. Connect your computer to the same Local Area Network (LAN) as your XProxy server.
  2. Access the local device dashboard by entering the server's local IP address (e.g., http://192.168.1.100) in your web browser (see the Access Dashboard guide).
  3. In the sidebar, navigate to the System Information tab.
  4. Locate and copy the License Key (e.g., 4eadd75a280d622f5759af4d36170011).
  5. Click the link [Click here to get subscription secret key] to reveal and copy your Subscription Secret Key (Verify Code, e.g., JKAU82JNTT).
Security Notice: Keep your License Key and Subscription Secret Key private. These credentials authenticate your hardware with the XProxy Cloud billing and updates servers.

Step 3 — Register the Keys in the Cloud Console

With both keys copied, navigate back to your cloud console page to register the hardware:

  1. Go to the My Devices section in the left sidebar.
  2. Click the + Add New Device button in the top-right corner to open the registration modal.
  3. In the modal, fill in the following details:
    • License Key: Paste your copied license key (e.g., 4eadd75a280d622f5759af4d36170011).
    • Subscription Secret Key: Paste the verification code/secret key (e.g., JKAU82JNTT).
    • Device Name: Enter a recognizable, friendly name (e.g., My Proxy Server) to help identify the hardware.
  4. Click Add Now to register the device.

Step 4 — Verify Activation Status

Upon clicking register, the Console will link your device. If successful, you will be redirected back to the My Devices list, where your newly activated device will appear with its assigned plan (e.g., Free Plan):

Part 2 — How to Upgrade Your License Subscription

Every newly registered server defaults to the Free Plan. To scale your proxy farm, increase your active modem limits, or unlock premium capabilities (such as anti-detection tools or proxy selling systems), you can purchase a paid subscription or upgrade your tier at any time.

For detailed, step-by-step instructions on buying a plan, extending your renewal dates, and understanding how pro-rated billing discounts work, please refer to our dedicated How to Upgrade Subscription guide.

Common Activation Issues

  • "This device is already linked to another account": The License Key is currently registered under a different XProxy user account.
    • Solution: Log into your other account, navigate to My Devices, and click Unlink. If you purchased the hardware second-hand, contact Telegram Support (@xproxyio) with your purchase invoice to request a manual transfer.
  • "Cannot change device while subscription is not active": You clicked "Change Device" to transfer a license, but the old device is on a Free Plan or the subscription has expired.
    • Solution: Only active paid plans (Basic, Premium, Business) can be transferred. To register a new free device, click the + Add New Device button directly in the Console instead.
  • "Activation failed. Check your license key and secret key": The key values do not match our database records.
    • Solution: Navigate to the System Information tab on your local dashboard to copy the keys directly. Ensure there are no leading or trailing spaces.
  • "License server unavailable. Please try again later": The central licensing server is unreachable or your local XProxy hardware is offline.
    • Solution: Verify that your local server has active internet connectivity. If the connection is stable, wait a few minutes and try again.
