Choosing the Right Infrastructure

1 When to choose the XProxy Box XB22

If you are starting your first proxy setup, need less than 40 proxy channels, or want a device that operates silently in a residential home network, the XB22 is the best choice. It is palm-sized, consumes very little power, and requires zero technical configuration. However, please note that the XB22 has a 100Mbps Ethernet port limit and a less powerful processor, which means it will bottleneck if you connect too many high-speed dongles or run highly demanding parallel tasks.

2 When to choose the XS Proxy Server

If you are building a commercial-scale mobile proxy farm, plan to resell proxy ports, or run high-thread web crawlers, the XS Proxy Server is the correct tool. Built like a PC Tower (approx. 260 x 165 x 353 mm) with a high-performance AMD Ryzen CPU and 16GB of RAM, it handles the CPU-heavy tasks of multiple concurrent IP rotations and high bandwidth limits. It has a 1000Mbps (Gigabit) Ethernet port ensuring no speed bottlenecks, and can scale up to 100+ dongles. *(Note: All USB dongles are connected externally using powered USB hubs, not plugged directly into internal slots).*

3 When to choose the XProxy Router

The XProxy Router is used in combination when you already have active proxies (whether generated from an XB22/XS Server modem farm or purchased from 3rd-party proxy providers). It is not a proxy generator and does not contain SIM card slots. Instead, it acts as a smart hardware gateway at the edge of your network. Devices (phones, PCs, anti-detect browser rigs, smart TVs) connecting via LAN/Wi-Fi automatically have their traffic routed through assigned proxy endpoints without installing any software or configuring proxy settings on each individual client device. It supports up to 40-50 connected devices.

💡 Pro Tip: Combining Proxy Generators with XProxy Router

A common configuration is to deploy an XS Server or XB22 to generate high-quality mobile proxies from your local SIM cards, and then connect your office devices, phone rigs, or browser clusters to an XProxy Router. The Router automatically forces all device traffic through your generated proxies with 100% WebRTC/DNS leak protection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Find quick answers regarding our proxy server and router hardware configurations.

Can I run XProxy software on my own server? +
Yes! If you already have dedicated x86 Linux server hardware (like a custom Intel/AMD server running Ubuntu), you can purchase a standalone XProxy software license and install it directly on your machine.
Does the XB22 support high-speed 5G USB Modems? +
While you can connect 5G modems to the XB22, its internal quad-core processor and 100Mbps ethernet network speed will act as a bottleneck. To utilize the full gigabit speed and parallel threads of 5G modems (like the XM55), we recommend using the XS Proxy Server or the XProxy XLE-5 All-in-One Kit.
Do these devices come with a warranty? +
Yes, all pre-configured XProxy hardware kits and servers (including XB22 Box, XS Server, and XProxy Router) come with a standard 12-month hardware warranty and priority setup support.
Does XProxy Router require standard client setup? +
No. The core advantage of XProxy Router is zero client-side configuration. Devices connected to the XProxy Router network switch or Wi-Fi are automatically routed through their assigned proxies at the gateway layer. Laptops, TVs, and phones function out-of-the-box as if they are connecting normally.
Is the XS Server a PC Tower or an All-in-One box with internal slots? +
The XS Server is a dedicated, high-performance PC Tower server (approx. 260 x 165 x 353 mm). It does not contain internal SIM card or modem slots. It functions solely as the central controller server. To use it, you will connect standard, powered USB Hubs externally, and plug your USB modems/dongles into those hubs.
