Proxidize Proxy Builder migration

Proxy Builder is now legacy. Keep your hardware, switch the software.

On June 3, 2026 Proxidize moved Proxy Builder to legacy status: no new features, platform updates, Linux Agent or Android Agent updates, and no new USB-modem updates are planned. XProxy is actively maintained software for the same kind of setup: a Linux host, USB hubs, and modems or Android phones.

Existing Proxy Builder customers can keep using it. This page is for teams that want software that still receives updates.

What Proxidize announced: Proxy Builder, including the Cloud Dashboard, Linux Agent, Android Agent and USB modem proxy creation, is deprecated and no longer maintained. Existing customers can still use it, renew and contact support, and Proxidize recommends its hosted proxy services for new needs. Read the notice →

What carries over from Proxy Builder

You switch the software, not the farm.

Your server and hubs

Keep the Linux host and the powered USB hubs. XProxy runs on any 64-bit Linux box; Ubuntu 22.04 is the recommended setup.

Your USB modems

XProxy supports many USB dongles, including Huawei and ZTE models, and helps you with drivers for free if one is not recognized.

Your Android phones

Phones on Android 8.1 or newer become proxies through the XProxy NextGen app over USB, LAN/WiFi or USB tethering. No root needed.

Migrate in five steps

Most farms move in an afternoon. We help with every step.

  1. Check your hardware

Make sure the host is 64-bit with at least 2 GB of RAM and the modems sit on a powered USB hub. Note which SIM is in which modem.

  2. Message support for free migration help

Send your modem models and host details to @xproxyio on Telegram. We check driver support and plan the move with you.

  3. Install XProxy

Reinstall the host with Ubuntu 22.04, or use a spare machine, then run curl -s https://x-proxy.io/install | bash as root. The server reboots when it is done.

  4. Plug in and re-link your modems

Connect the hubs and modems. XProxy detects each device and gives it a proxy port. For phones, enable Android NextGen and USB debugging, then plug them in. Update the proxy addresses in your tools.

  5. Choose a plan

Run free with up to 5 modems, or pick a plan for your modem count on the pricing page.

Migration questions

Can I keep using Proxidize Proxy Builder?

Yes. Proxidize says existing Proxy Builder customers can keep using the platform, renew and contact its support. What it will not do is ship new features, platform, Linux Agent, Android Agent or USB-modem updates. If you need ongoing updates, migrating is the way to get them.

Which of my Proxidize hardware can I reuse?

The host machine (any 64-bit Linux box), the powered USB hubs and your USB modems. Modem compatibility depends on drivers, so send us your modem models on Telegram and we check them before you move.

Will my proxy addresses change?

Yes. XProxy assigns its own HTTP and SOCKS5 ports to every modem, so you update the proxy addresses in your antidetect browsers or scrapers once the move is done.

Is there a trial?

XProxy runs free for up to 5 modems. If you want to test paid features on your own hardware before buying, ask support on Telegram.

What does the migration cost?

Migration help from our support team is free. The XProxy license itself follows the normal price list.
