Frequently asked
Which power supply is required for XM55 modems?
Due to peak transmission demands on 5G Sub-6 frequencies, each XM55 requires 1.5A to 2.0A at 5V. We recommend powered industrial USB 3.0 Sipolar hubs with a dedicated 12V 10A or 12V 20A power adapter.
Are antennas included with the XM55?
Yes! Every XM55 modem comes with 4 external high-gain omnidirectional antennas and standard SMA/TS9 connectors to maximize 5G MIMO signal reception.
Can I lock the XM55 to 5G n78 band?
Yes. Through the XProxy web management dashboard, you can manually lock the modem to specific 5G bands (such as n78 3.5GHz) or LTE anchor bands to achieve optimal throughput.
What SIM card format does XM55 use?
The XM55 uses an industrial Standard SIM (2FF) tray. If using a Nano SIM, simply place it inside a Standard SIM adapter frame.
